Brief Summary and How to Use With Students:
On this train each cart is a different state that gives the states motto, flower, insect, animal, date of statehood, capital, flag, source of name, a fun fact, and much more. Each cart also has fun drawings of people, places, or objects that the state is known for. The end of the book also has questions to ask students about the pages and pictures as they read. For Tennessee it adds facts about the Grand Ole Opry, Davy Crockett, and asks what the differences are between the state commercial fish the channel catfish and the state game fish the largemouth bass.
